It’s been a while since I’ve written I know but I’ve been busy starting a new job and ya know life got in the way of my writing.
If you haven’t already watched the new Gossip Girl series on HBOmax, why are you waiting!?!
I loved the original series and honestly based on the first episode this new one is gonna be just as good. I’m already wanting to recreate some of this episode looks and dreaming for someone from the upper east side to shower with Beyonce adidas merch and designer dresses!
Gossip Girl 2.0 is already giving all the luxury life and high end fashion we want to see throughout the series. Nothing was as refreshing to see than the Constance courtyard, the uniforms and lunch at the step.
There’s already some improvement with representation in the cast with having some beautiful women of color as the main characters!
I don’t want to go into detail without spoiling but I can’t wait to see how the new Serena and Blair-esque rivalry unravels with half sisters Julia and Zoya who are so-called strangers.
Mad Wolf is giving major Chuck Bass energy while Audrey seems to be giving season 1 Blair vibes. In case you wanted to know, yes Obie is our new Dan Humphrey and Aki Hawaiian cutie just might be our new Nate Archibald!
This new twist on who Gossip Girl via Instagram and how they’ve made it it’s own while still paying tribute to the original series. The drama is all unraveling and let me tell you the hour episode definitely left me watching more!
